The Temptation: Adam & Eve tempted, sent from the garden
WIKY CAMP 2026 · DAILY UPDATE — THURSDAY, JULY 23
Thursday was a smooth day, and a driving day. Every car needed gas by the end of it — the pickups were far and there were a lot of them, and the team spent much of the day just getting kids to and from the property.
We fed a lot of kids again today, and just like the feeding of the five thousand, we never ran out. There were moments we had to improvise, stretch what we had, figure it out on the fly — and every time, there was abundance instead of a shortage. That's not something we managed. That's provision.
The day itself ran better than almost any other — one activity into the next, no real dead time, kids engaged the whole way through. The end of the day arrived before anyone felt it coming.
The highlight, by far: we prayed with one of the boys to accept Jesus. He's carrying a troubled past — real spiritual attack and darkness at home — and we prayed specifically against that, over his family, and for him to be lifted out of it. By the end, he said he was happy. His outbursts of rage stopped.
Volleyball saw a record number of players today and ran without a hitch, though everyone was limping around by the end of it — these have been long days of drills and games, and the kids are feeling every bit of it.
